“Mazda’s new Certified Pre-Owned program is designed expressly to make the process easy and affordable for customers shopping for a high-quality pre-owned vehicle,” said Ron Stettner, vice president of sales for Mazda North America. “As Mazda was recently recognized by ALG for holding one of the highest residual values in the industry, our new CPO program allows us to provide a never-before-offered level of warranty security that goes with the value for money already packaged into every new Mazda.”
The security he mentions is regarding their generous warranty coverage, which provides CPO customers with either the balance of the vehicle’s factory warranty or an additional 1 year / 12,000 mile comprehensive warranty. This is in addition to the traditional 7 year / 100,000 powertrain coverage.
There’s no deductibles for warranty repairs, and every vehicle under the new CPO program is offered free roadside assistance throughout the life of the powertrain coverage. Any flat-tire changes, battery jumps, lock-outs and fuel delivery are included.
Only Mazdas from the 2006-2010 model year are eligible for the program, and those that do qualify undergo a diligent multi-point inspection and reconditioning program to ensure the vehicle is worthy enough for the new stringent program.
