Improved 2012 Mazda2 a hit in Japan
Outstanding fuel efficiency is not all that the Japanese customers are raving about with this new Mazda 2 the states will be seeing soon. It is also getting comments on the advanced technologies and the quiet cabin. Praise includes, "I was strongly attracted by the Demio's fuel economy of 30 km/L with only a gasoline engine," and, "I admire Mazda's approach to find the true potential of the gasoline engine."
Mazda management is excited about the surge in interest in their latest model and newest engine technology.

The SkyActiv engine uses a range of clever, cutting edge tech to deliver the best efficiency possible, thanks to a unique design and completely new approach to engine development, the next Mazda 2 is able to achieve 58.8 MPG in current testing.
Though no official confirmation of a US release has been made, we suspect we'll see the new engine, and the new Mazda 2 in the US early next year.
