Sneak peek at the upcoming Mazda6

Mazda has confirmed that the 2014 redesign of the Mazda6 will be based on the Takeri concept. The Takeri design incorporates flowing, natural lines that simulate animal grace, and some of its ideas can be seen in the recently-released Mazda CX-5, which borrowed some of the Takeri conceptual design.

Mazda engies laden down with accolades

Five Mazda engineers must be proud today. They were told they will be given the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers Medal for New Technology for their work with SkyActiv in 2011. The award ceremony will took place on April 20, 2012.

Mazda CX-5 is a Top Safety Pick

The 2013 Mazda CX5 earned a Top Safety Pick award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety recently, allowing it to join a small and elite group of SUVs to earn the hard-to-achieve designation. This makes it one of the few to qualify since the institute made the criteria much tougher regarding rollover safety and roof strength.
